Kimberly Leeper
Landscape Designer, Mariposa Naturescapes

Kimberly is the owner of Mariposa Naturescapes. She has a breadth of experience in the field with native plants & their restoration.  As a member of Washington Native Plant Society (WNPS), she is a Growing Wild consultant.  She completed WNPS’s comprehensive Native Plant Stewardship program and has worked closely with native plants for six years.  Kimberly also has a permaculture design certificate.

Kimberly enjoys continually learning about plants through the Landscape Horticulture Program at South Seattle Community College.  She has been an educator since 1996.  Her way of educating about the natural world is very influenced by Wilderness Awareness School.

Mariposa's mission is to restore the Seattle-area landscape for wildlife and people by densely planting site-appropriate Pacific Northwest native plants in yards and green spaces. They also dedicate ourselves to educate the general public about the many benefits and uses of native plants in order to inspire better understanding, appreciation, and stewardship of the natural world outside each of our doors and beyond.
