We know land. We advocate for land. We follow wildlife tracks. We pick apart scat. We lift up rocks. We watch. We connect with and know the ecosystem. We get dirty.

Philosophy

The Challenges We Face

Habitat loss, climate change, and conflicts between people and wildlife are major causes of wildlife species decline globally.  We are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction in global history.

Our modern lives largely detach us from our inherent human connection to nature. This decline culturally impairs our ability to make choices that foster environmental stewardship. Our separation from the natural world also threatens our mental and physical health.

Solutions

Cohabitats listens to land. We put in the dirt time to learn from the environment and the inhabitats of any given place. We believe in a humble, land-first approach, that integrates the needs of wildlife into any human design process. This shift can yield vastly different and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Our approach aims to protect wildlife, preserve and restore habitat, while fostering meaningful connections for people with nature.

Ultimately, the land, water, plants and wildlife are our clients alongside people interested in creating a vastly different human footprint.
