Biophilic Design Consulting

E.O Wilson defined the term biophilia in his 1984 book 'Biophilia’ in which, he states humans have an innate and evolutionarily based affinity for nature. The term refers to, 'the connections that human beings subconsciously seek with the rest of life’.

Biophilic Design Consulting

Cohabitats works with building and landscape architects who bring in biophilia into their designs. Our approach integrates more “bio” into biophilic design process with the goal to stimulate the human connection to nature.

Studies show biophilic designs foster human wellness and mental health. We encourage bringing greenery and life into the built environment both inside and outside that are visible and accessible to people. Biophilic designs can provide much needed urban oasis, as well as offers more biodiversity and wildlife habitat in and around the built environment.
